The Marsa Junction Project includes the development of a new Multi-Level Intersection to replace the ‘Addolorata’ junction with traffic lights system, including; 12 kilometres of new uninterrupted lanes, grade-separated at three levels, creating direct northbound and southbound connections between Triq Aldo Moro, Vjal Sir Paul Boffa, Vjal Santa Lucija, Triq Giuseppe Garibaldi and Triq il-Marsa (to Qormi).

Meinhardt Malta was selected to provide the professional services in connection with the supervision and works certification for the Marsa Junction project. Meinhardt Malta partnered with STABS to provide the Technical services engineering for this project – STABS was engaged by the Project Management Team as a Consultant for the specialised technical systems.


Besides the need for Electrical services, such as electrical switchgear, distribution and street lighting, this project also included specialised technical systems, such as:

STABS had an open relationship with the Design and Build Contractor, ensuring that the final client and end-user got what was expected and what was contracted for. Constant dialogue and communication between all the stake holders with performance review workshops were key to execute this project successfully.
